How to Zoom in on a PC

Zoom in Web Browsers:



  1. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera:

    • Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl + +

    • Menu Option: Click on the three dots/menu on the upper right corner -> Zoom -> Increase

    • Mouse Option: Hold Ctrl and scroll up with the mouse wheel


  1. Internet Explorer:

    • Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl + +

    • Menu Option: Click on the gear icon on the upper right corner -> Zoom -> Zoom In

    • Mouse Option: Hold Ctrl and scroll up with the mouse wheel


Zoom in Windows:

  1. Zoom in on the whole screen:

    • Keyboard Shortcut: Win + +


  1. Zoom in on part of the screen (Magnifier tool):

    • Open Magnifier: Win + =

    • Close Magnifier: Win + ESC

    • Zoom in: Win + +

    • Zoom out: Win + -


Zoom in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.):

  1. Zoom in on the document:

    • Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl + +

    • Menu Option: View -> Zoom -> Zoom In

    • Mouse Option: Hold Ctrl and scroll up with the mouse wheel


Zoom in Adobe Acrobat Reader:

  1. Zoom in on the document:

    • Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl + +

    • Menu Option: View -> Zoom -> Zoom In

    • Mouse Option: Hold Ctrl and scroll up with the mouse wheel


Please remember, most of these options require you to first click on the window you want to zoom in, so it is active.

Note: If you are using a laptop or a keyboard without a separate numeric keypad, you might need to press the Fn key to access the + key.

Note: Zoom levels may not be kept upon restarting the application or PC.

These instructions might differ slightly depending on the specific version of the software you are using.
